What are you doing to develop your global mindset? I am a graduate student at The George Washington University and I'm working on a project about how organizations develop their employee's global mind

What are you doing and/or what is your organization doing to develop your global mindset? I greatly appreciate any examples or thoughts on this topic!
Thanks, Joan M-R

dear joan,I am a consultant/trainer in international business communication in Adelaide, South Australia. In answer to your query, more companies are sending staff to courses i run, either indepedendently or through the AustralianInstitute of Export, for which i have developed nationally accredited courses. Many others attend university under- and post-grad courses. However, it seems that few copanies do much in-house to develop a global mindset across the team; rather it is left to the export division and the few regular international travellers and expats. When presented with even fairly basic material on comparing national management styles or on cross-cultural adaptation, most participants are very impressed; why havent we heard of this stuff before? (you dont know what you dont know etc). I have been in this business for 20 years in one form or another and I would say it is still a case of the early adopters proactively seeking global understanding at an organisational level.
