I am coordinating my first H-1B visa process. If you have "been there - done that" and have some helpful tips, I would greatly appreciate hearing them. Thanks!!

Hire an attorney who specializes in immigration law.

If you are not going to be doing many of these, I would do it myself, because the process is not that complicated. If you hire an immigration attorney, it is going to cost you lots of $$$. This is a two step process, which normally takes 6-8 weeks. Contact the DOL and INS for the paperwork. The total cost is approximately $200. You can find lots of detailed information on the internet. Good luck !

I was afraid you were going to say that. It was what I recommended, but they don't want to spend the $$$.

Wish me luck.

Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. It seems a bit overwhelming at first, but I've gotten used to the idea.

Thanks for your response.
