Communications Initiative

My HR supervisor and I are implementing an Executive Commnications plan where each top person speaks with an employee they would normally not be able to speak with yet works for them. Has anyone ever used this approach (IBM calls it Executive Interviewing) and if so what was the success?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
