I need to commence a process of establishing a user pays business unit for a department within my HRM department for Staff Health and Well-being (WH&S, Workers Compensation, Rehabilitation, Prevention, Health Promotion). The service provides services to internal clients (departments, work units, individuals) mainly, but would like to expand its services if the opportunities arise.
Currently this unit is funded from the allocations by the various divisions of the organisation, but needs to be able to stand on its own two feet now as well as look for opportunities for expanding revenue bases.
Does anybody have information, expertise or models that they are willing to share that means that I do not have to re-invent the wheel.
As we are in a current public hospital environment in Queensland, our culture and expertise is not geared towards this type of venture.
