This topic has been covered very well and I just wanted to add, that personally I think every company and person will be a little different. Looking at the original post, I don't know there is an ideal other than being able to present yourself well, and show up on time. Even looking at the posts to this, what one person values, another may not. So for me, I have to prepare by going over the questions I suspect they will ask by researching the company, job posting and comparing it to my resume to say, "if I were the interviewer for this job, what would I want to know?" and after reviewing the company (website, mission statement, core business functions), "what do I need to know about them?"

And personally, seeing a candidate be a little nervous is ok. Everyone knows interviews can be stressful.

And you can also look at the dates of the original post to make sure that you're not dredging up a 4 year old thread.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
