I would like to develop career path in my organization, where a new employee can see where he will reach after 2/3/4/6/10 etc years. May I have your advise....how I can creat this......Thanks !

It's practically impossible to design career paths for an organization that we know absolutely nothing about.

How about taking a common sense approach.
Look at whatever department an employee is in and see what positions are above them? That's a very basic approach. Obviously the differences between job descriptions above this position need to be addressed with training, education, development and the like.
Also, depending on the size of the organization and the ability to transfer to different departments can have an impact. There is a lot of work to do to provide a customized growth track for each employee, but I would imagine an interview session with the staff person might develop the types of growth they want versus the skills and education they possess.
After all, if the employee does not want to grow in the direction that a position would naturally dictate, you are then both wasting your time.

I agree 100% with Marc. In addition, you have to take in account, depending on whether your company is technical or professional. Be careful that when you develop your paths that you ensure they are not going to commit the organization to promote a person based on them meeting the tecnical qualifications for the next level. I suggest you interview the leaders (managers) and employees to see what is required at each level and go from there.

Thanks Marc & Anderson for your nice comments.
The business nature of my company is to provide technical service to the clients. Most of the employees are highly qualified here. However, I have talked with the key managers about this process. They all are agreed. But they are more focusing to stand a salary structure. I trust, they do not deeply about the impact of this process. However, i wish to overcome all barriers and finally to implement in my organization.
I agree with Marc, which he advised to think about department, education, positions etc. But I am not sure, how I will define the training for them. Actually, we do not have a proper training plan for the employee. We have some special overseas training and on job training only. Also I am not clear about the impact of development in the Career Path process.
Looking for your further comments....

Based on your questions on this forum, I strongly suggest finding a local HR consulting firm who can give you direction on where to go on these questions.
They are very broad and there is no way you could post enough detail on a free public forum such as this to get a good solid answer.
Are you the person responsible for HR at your company? If so, I suggest looking through the coursework/training through the CEBS program. It does a very good job of training on many of the issues you are asking about (compensation, etc).

To go to consultant is one soluation. But, I would like to get some basic ideas which i may use to start primarily.....I am from Bangladesh. I don't think, we will be able to get any good consultant. however, if you have any advise pls share with us....have a nice day!

What you're asking for is not a basic thing, it's a major undertaking, and not something people have time to do for free.

Then the CEBS/textbooks are the way to go for basic starter information. Not sure whether USA textbooks would help you though in Bangaladesh though. Nor do I know if there are textbooks available for you there. I highly recommend any textbooks used by the CEBS program (just google CEBS and it should lead you to their library of selections).
