Working in a school is not fun. You deal with different age groups, nationalities and personalities.
One of our teachers has her husband as dependent. This man is retired and he is 50+. He became a substitute teacher in our school. However, he has these weird thought about healing and he like to talk about power coming out of I don't know where through his hands and a lot of things he says that sound not normal. The problem is that he walks around and keep on talking about this to everyone.
My concern is that he tends to do the healing thing by touching some parts of the body. I am an Arab/Iranian, not American and I am not sure if this acceptable by Americans.
Can you shed some light on this, please?

In some religious groups, this might be acceptable. In a public setting, touching other people can be considered assault.
I think you need to make sure this person doesn't come back to teach even on a substitue basis.

wait..you work in a SCHOOL and thought the other employee who looked at porn AT WORK should not have been terminated? oh my goodness. That's scares me.
As to this man, I would counsel him regarding appropriate conduct if you want to give him a 2nd chance or possibly defend against a religious discrimination lawsuit should he claim that was why he was let go. But honestly, I wouldn't. All it would take is ONE incident with a child or teacher/administrator and you have a nasty incident on your hands.

rrupert is right - just one touch on an inappropriate body part gets a molestation complaint/charge/investigation. This sort of thing is public relations dynamite. If the man can't or won't change, don't even let him back in the building.
And porn being sent from a school computer? What kind of zoo is this school?

Thank you for your input.
In regards to the porn issue, it was not full porno. It was a matter of emails that contained jokes and some funny clips that could be considered a sexual material. This teacher was one of the best. Old students would come to see him every time they came in town.
Again, thank you for input...

I don't know who does HR for your company, but this guy needs to STOP this behavior immediately.
It borders on sexual harassment, assault and perhaps even some religion promotion.
Any of these areas can lead to large claims against the school. I would do more than just not re-hire him, I would write him up, document his file and let him know this behavior will not be tolerated, period.
