I have to admit I am feeling pretty down and out in my position as of late. I found out a few weeks ago that I am being laid off after 6 years of back breaking ball busting work for the company. I have received several commendations and awards for outstanding work and service over these last 6 years. I have really felt a strong sense of job security here. That rug has been swiftly pulled from under my feet. I have to wonder if the Corporate Director is pushing this and has some insecurity with me being here as I have been and am the go to person for all levels of the company to get things done. I've been told by the director that I am the right hand, the anchor of the dept. That I hit a home run every time I get my hands on a problem or project and see it through to completion. Now its, " You know, I've been thinking about how you fit into the team and bottom line is our department is overstaffed and with me pprofessionally developing the rest of the team, your position is being eliminated, so where else do you see yourself working in the company?" Now mind you, I work in a small branch office that does not have alot of growth potential unless I move to sales which I am not a sales person. So with that being said, I am asked where and what I can do, I present 4 different scenarios of how I can utilize my talents, skills and experience to remain with the company and help them achieve their goals......guess what? All four ideas were shot down without so much as a meeting to discuss them.

After a week of sullen expression and anger, I pick myself up, dust myself off, pull my professional self together and prepare for my next career journey. Make note that none of us are indispensible, keep your networks updated, your education and development ongoing as you never know when you will find yourself on the path of an unexpected change for a new career.

You need to look at it as an opportunity. Obviously, you were never going to be fully appreciated for your efforts nor rewarded for them where you were.

The opportunity you have is finding an employer where your talents and efforts will be appreciated.

I've never yet been in a similar situation where it didn't work out for the better.

Sorry to hear of your pending layoff. Most of us on the board have been there at one point, some of us probably will be again. I had to conduct a RIF last year, itâs tough to tell good employees that their jobs are going away. Like yourself, many immediately point to their accomplishments and track record. While companies try to avoid losing star performers, performance often isnât the deciding factor. Some RIFS are focused on specific divisions, product lines, locations, or jobs. Some are simply based on which duties can most easily be absorbed by others. I learned not to spend too much energy fretting over what has already been decided.

It sounds like youâve turned the corner and are focusing in the right direction. Get some of those significant accomplishments on your resume and line up a few co-workers who will be willing to attest to them when you need references. If there are transition groups in your area be sure to connect with some of them for networking and support. Good Luck and good hunting

He is clear in what He asks and clear in what He offers. The choice is up to us.Isn't it incredible that NY Escort God leaves the choice up to us? Think about it. There are many things in life we can't choose. We can't, for NY Escorts example, choose the weather. We can't control the economy. We can't choose whether or not we are NY Asian Escorts born with a big nose or blue eyes or a lot hair. We can't even choose how people respond to us. But we NY Asian Escort can choose where we spend eternity.
