Many suggestions just too complex and involves HR solutions to someone who is just lazy. Just don't reimburse the employee for the expenses incurred when policy is not followed. Most expense documentation requirements are drvien by IRS demands and audit compliance. Hitting the person the pocketbook will get them into compliance! Most of my past employers had a policy that if you did not submit your expense reimbursement in a timely and compliant manner, you just didn't get your money back! (and gas card be turned off). |

A number of comments above are classic "correct" responses but are possibly punitive at their core. Make sure the requirements are required for valid reasons and make sure that there is not a hidden issue that needs to be addressed. It does sound that this individual is a problem child. |
