I am a strong advocate for team building for charity. There are many fun charitable activities that promote team building. Sandwich making for a local food shelf, put together dental kits for children sho don't have access to dental care, putting together laundry detergent packages for the local food shelves as food stamps cannot be used to purchase detergent or toilet paper, package birthday gift bags for less fortunate parents who cannot afford to give birthday gifts to their children... the list goes on and on. Inter-department groups can be placed togther to develop cohesive relationships internally. Teams from departments could compete against each other to see who can make the most birthday gift bags, many ways to promote working toether for a good cause.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
