Hello, We are looking to update our attendance policy.  I was reaching out to see if anyone would be willing to share their attendance policy for non-exempt (in mfg or warehousing) with me.

Hello,

We are looking to update our attendance policy.  I was reaching out to see if anyone would be willing to share their attendance policy for non-exempt (in mfg or warehousing) with me.  I certainly would share ours.

We are looking for best practices and a healthy compromise between days off and discipline.

Thank you for your assistance.

Our Policy:

Annually, an employee is allowed 5 unexcused days off (anything not scheduled in advance, i.e.vacation). On the 6th day, the employee receives a written warning.  On the 7th day, the employee receives a 3-day suspension. On the 8th day, the employee is terminated.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
