In Response to Re: Exempt?: In CA it's required to provide the employee with a "wage statement" with the hours they are being paid for and the hourly rate each pay period. If each pay period is always 80 hours and they are never absent without pay so that each gross paycheck is the same then it may look like a salary even though in CA it really isn't. Posted by jehnsh Salaried, non exempt, is a normal salary classification. Non exempts turn in "exception" time sheets for weeks where they do not work 40 hours or 80(which means where they work more or less than the standard) in a two week period. |
