Question is how many garnishments can be deduicted at 1 time and where does the company stand/rank in getting our money? Do garnishments have to be paid 1st or can we deduct for owed medical contributions concurrently?

Since there may be state laws which come into play on this one, I'd recommend you find a local attorney to help you out. My guess would be that you have to apply any and all court ordered garnishments.

Did the employee sign an authorization which allows you to deduct from wages for the medical contributions?

CCPA limits the total amount of garnishments to a certain % of pay--> Federal law restricts the amount that can be garnished to no more than 30 times the federal minimum wage, or 25 percent of the consumer’s disposable income, whichever is less.

I have no idea if NJ has limits or what they are as that is not my state.

I suggest this article from BLR : http://www.blr.com/HR-Employment/Compensation/Garnishment-in-New-Jersey

You do however have to register with them to read the whole thing. But they have great information and it is worth it. I am in no way affiliated with them though.
