That is way too broad of a question and depends on details.

Is the person eligible for any protected medical leave? Is this the same person as above? If not, is it due to a Workers compensation claim?

My answer would vary based on details.

eta: we do not accommodate "light duty" unless the reason for it was an internal workers compensation claim. If the reason is not related to OUR workplace, we do not accommodate unless it is required under FMLA or ADA (which is rare).

Also note that if the reason you cannot accomodate is due to the employee's pregnanc,y there are a whole host of other issues
