I am working in a company that the VP applied personal power to set me up and make up story without written warning and force me to "voluntary resign" Most employee can be my witness about my performance and management. The company offer a 3mth paid vacation as saviage package, but I signed the document as voluntary resign without my wishes, otherwise I cannot got the package and the VP spoke to me in front of the HR, "If you choose to stay and you will have a hard time because I am easy to find a mistake within a month to kick you out and I don't need to give you the package." I spoke with the President, even though he knows that is not fair, but he said he had to respect the VP's decision, he does not to be involve." How can I file the law suite? And how much minimum pay back that I will got? Any time limit to file the law suite?

I'm not an expert on this matter however it seems to me that it would be best not to stay in a company that wishes to get rid of you.

In the U.S., all states except Wyoming subscribe to the concept of "employment at will", which means that you can leave the company for any reason at any time, and the company can get rid of you for any reason at any time".
Of course, anybody can sue anybody for anything, but, unless you were fired for an illegal reason and can prove it (age discrimination, race discrimination, gender discrimination, etc.), you will probably have a hard time finding an attorney to take your case. Plus, you did get what is known in the legal area as "consideration", i.e. you do something (resign) for which you received a benefit (extra money).
As far as being told things that would embarrass or humiliate you in front of others, it is not illegal for management to be jerks.

P.S. However, I do agree with the other poster, why would you want to stay somewhere where it's obvious you are not wanted and where it appears they would make your life miserable?

Daily Q&A
How Do We Keep Our Best During Upheaval?
Things are getting scary for us. We recently had to downsize, and since then have lost some of our best people to other jobs. Aside from boosting their pay (which isn't feasible now), what practical steps can we take to keep them from quitting on us?
