there are about 20 account managers in sales department now,but each is in charge of different number of accounts and the number varies from 1 to 20.However the one takes in charge of 1 account does not mean his task is easier than the one who masters 20.
since the deadline is coming, we haven't enough time to re-evaluate these positions, so what is the most easy and objective way can I use to rank their rate which is related to their payment.

It sounds like your company threw this on you pretty quick. Since you say that just because a person has more accounts covered that doesn't mean that they are doing more work. If you can, just make the pay rate the same for each one. Just until you can offically rate their work.

Daily Q&A

How Do We Keep Our Best During Upheaval?

Things are getting scary for us. We recently had to downsize, and since then have lost some of our best people to other jobs. Aside from boosting their pay (which isn't feasible now), what practical steps can we take to keep them from quitting on us?
