Good morning,
I am search for ice breaker ideas for an upcoming management retreat. Nothing too silly or long. Please advise. Thanks!

What is the level of familiarity within the management group now? How long have they been working together now? What is the purpose of the retreat? What level of management is at this retreat? What other "activities" are happening at this retreat? What has been done in the past? what have you been asked to do?
I ask because a good ice breaker could be a opening casual breakfast instead of some game that will forever haunt you when management remembers what you did at the retreat.
depending on your company culture management might just look at these games as part of the silliness imposed upon them by HR. In short you could be at risk of substantiating a sereotype they hold now.
I'd nix the games and focus on outcomes.

Daily Q&A
How Do We Keep Our Best During Upheaval?
Things are getting scary for us. We recently had to downsize, and since then have lost some of our best people to other jobs. Aside from boosting their pay (which isn't feasible now), what practical steps can we take to keep them from quitting on us?
