Has anyone here worked overseas and returned? If so I need your help.
I graduated with a degree in chemical engineering 2.5 years ago. I am currently working as a supervisor in a corn processing plant. However, I have greater aspirations. Therefore, I have enrolled in a local MBA program. This is my 3rd semester in the program. I find it very interesting. This is my first experience with business management - my undergraduate work was strictly math and science based. I have decided to pursue an emphasis in international business and I am currently enrolled in my first international business class. For this class, I need to interview at least two managers who have held positions overseas. I need to try to find a man and a woman. I personally do not know anyone who has worked overseas, so I searched the internet trying to find a website that could put me in touch with such individuals. If this describes you I would appreciate your help. As a starting block, here are some of the things I need know. Plus any extra information you care to give I would appreciate it. The more information I get, the better - I need to know about your experiences both in the working environment and in the foreign country generally. How you and your families adapted. How you found the stage of reentry to headquarters, and what the effects of the assignment had on your career progression. If anyone would like to volunteer, please email me at jennierose1313@hotmail.com or reply to this topic. Thanks - Jennie |
