I have never heard of one.  If the organization deems a background check to be important, then the organization should pay for it.

In Response to Re: Charging Applicants for their background checks.:
I know of one organization that charges the unsuccessful applicants for their background checks.  Talk about adding insult to injury!  While amusing in a cynical evil sort of way, I don't personally recommend this practice.

That is the most completely idiotic idea I've ever heard.  Should you charge them for the coffee or water you offer them?  For the time that the interviewer spends with them?  For the cost of preparing their offer letter?  For their office supplies?

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
