I just found these forums today and find the discussion about online MBA programs interesting. I received my MBA from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio through the online program (they do also have regular classes but are more well-known for the online program). Since this thread was originally started in 2003, has the perception of the online MBA programs changed in the last seven years?

I think what you've seen has been the "late to the party" establishment of online programs by traditional brick and mortar schools. I think that has pushed the online only programs, especially the "for profit" institutions, further back in the pack.

I do not think that online only for profits programs have gained anything as far as perception on the part of the business community. Now that Congress is starting to investigate these programs, I think their reputation will further erode.
