My organization is examining the feasibility of using outplacement reports as a recruiting tool. Are there any good resources for getting these reports? Also, if you have used outplacement reports, have you had success? Thank you for your assistance.

Reports of organizations who are announcing lay-offs.

Probably unreliable at best. Lots of companies announce lay-offs (publicly traded ones for sure); non-public companies probably prefer to keep this quiet.

If you hear of layoffs at a particular employer, you certainly can contact their HR and see if you can get them to announce your vacancies to their employees.

I've had very hit or miss experience with this approach. Also keep in mind that laid off employees are often not the organization's top performers.
