Does anyone have a recruitment strategy, that they are willing to share. I've been ask to put somethng together and would lke to review others for guidance. We provide security services and workforce to the defense industry with over 4000 employees nationally.

Thank you for your help.

I am not a pro at this, but my approach would be to first identify the kinds of employees you want and then determine the likely sources.

For some types of security, I would think that folks leaving military service might be fertile ground. Perhaps local police looking for part-time second jobs could be another.

Local competition could be a third. Existing security guards and companies might want to try greener pastures.

Just a couple of un-informed thoughts.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
