Hello:
I am currently researching for specific guidelines to achieve diversity recruitment and staffing, but have been unsuccessful so far.
I was wondering if anybody knew of any links to specific guidelines in order to conduct an effective recruitment process to find and hire members of minority groups (i.e.specifically the Latino population).
Thanks you very much for your time and help.
Best,
Fernando Aragon

Our hiring goal is to find the best fit for the job regardless of any other characteristics.
Our recruitment goal is to find qualified individuals that represent our diverse population demographics. For us, that means we make specific notification efforts with the local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, job postings at the placement offices of our local university and community college and postings with the local version of the unemployment office.
We also post our jobs on our webstie and with a web based employment company. Finally, we have a reciprocity arrangement with our local county and our state about posting openings on our respective in-house bulletin boards.
The main thing, in my opinion, is to get your opening posted where you think you will get a diverse response.
If I was recruiting a special area, like an engineer or accountant, I would contact local licensing agencies or professional organizations to get the listing out.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
