Other than the use of Skype, I am looking for suggestions on what are the best vendor or online solutions for conducting high quality video interviews at a low cost (<$400). I am also interested in solutions for when a candidate does not have adequate or no video capabilties at home. Any other advice related to setting up or using video conferencing for interviewing would be appreciated.

While no longer Kinko's (They are now Fedex) I have used their video conferencing capabilities for years. I haven't used them in about 3 years so I don't know what the cost is any longer but it would be a good place to start. Many search firms also have these capabilities and some type of arrangement could be worked out with them.

I used Kinko's as well, but also haven't used them for some time. Worth checking out.

Old thread, but I could not resist, check us out: SeeCandidates.com.
Would also appreciate your experience with who you decided to go with.

Have never used them, but sat in on a presentation during a conference. GreenJobInterview.com. They provide the video camera and instruction to the interviewee and help get the interview process coordinated

You may also try your local Community College - usually they have very good equipment, and won't charge much if anything. The candidate could go to the closest Community College to their area and link up this way. We have done this and it has worked out wonderfully.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
