I am looking for any best practices or a check list on how recruiters can evaluate the recruiting process and identify any bias. We use an ATS and recruiters do the sourcing and the initial screening, pre-employment testing, phone screens and then send to hiring managers to determine if he/she wants to do an in-person interview with applicant.

Thanks

If you have an ATS, are you asking candidates to self identify at the start of the application process?

If you are, then you can assess what the demographics are at every stage in the hiring process. Affirmative Action programs in government contracting organizations do exactly that.

You might also contact your ATS vendor to see what reports on this are available. Most good ones will be able to do this for you, usually for an additional cost.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
