That would depend on the security level required and reason. If for a government contract (state or federal) then consider the cost of conducting a through background check for "Secret or Top Secret" clearences. Our average cost is between 300-500 dollars per applicant not previously cleared in the past 5 years. 100 - 200 for those previously cleared.
