How do you feel about a degree from a Continuting Education program

Over lunch with some colleagues we were discussing resumes. One of the things that came up were applicants who had gone through some type of continuing education program.

It was an interesting conversation because the subject of brand name came up and how important a college is on a resume.

Personally, I could care less. The most important thing is that are they qualified?

I think you need to provide more info. What kinds of jobs are you talking about? Continuing ed might be great for votech students, but for a lot of professional positions it doesn't work well.

I think it depends on they type of degree or accredited courses taken. My point is that for extentions of general office management, systems knowledge or certification which benefits the company I think they are fine.
If however the degree indicates a BBA or BS degree, check to insure the institution is accerdited (some are -some are not)

given that the knowledge requirements for most degrees are obsolete within 10 years, continuing education credits may be more valid. The world keeps changing.
