Just got a call from one trying to recruit me away to an opprtunity I am completely not interested in (especially given that I'm not job hunting anyway)...and after trying and trying and trying (and failing failing failing) to get me to come in for an interview, he decided to go all hard sell and said "OK you think you're not job-hunting now but maybe you will be after I call your boss and tell him you called me about a job?" While this surprising sales tactic is one I'm not familiar with, I thought fast and replied "OK I'll come and see you but I gotta warn you I'm 55, overweight, gray-haired and missing a tooth in front - that's OK with you, right?" At which he hung up.
Just a little Friday funny for y'all.

Your reaction was perfect.
Now call up his/her boss and tell them that he/she called looking for a job.......

...and when I told him I'm old, fat, grey and toothless, he offered to have sex with me?

.......but only if you paid him.
This is his sideline business that his boss does not know about.

I'm a little disappointed that you think us old grey toothless fatties have to pay for our sex but oh well, discrimination is everywhere these days...
Meanwhile, if he calls me again, this little sideline of his is something his boss will know about real soon!

While I don't know how true this really is. Assuming this actually took place I would like to apologize on behalf of that Recruiter because he is the type of knucklehead that gives the rest of us a poor image. A good Recruiter should be someone you trust completely and who will look out for your best interests.
By the way good job!

You can assume the original post is exactly what happened.
There are bad recruiters just like there are bad HR Generalists, bad doctors, bad engineers, bad lawyers and bad used car sales people (not sure about this last group).
By the way knucklehead is one of my favorite adjectives.

In my time as an HR professional, I've encountered one head hunter who knew what he was. On his business card (which I wish I still had) he had the title:
"Industrial Pimp."

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
