Our co recently opend office in Ontario. We have all employees sign non-compete agreement. Learned that in Canada, non-copmpetes must be executed prior to 1st day. If not, agreement is invalid.

What processes, if any, have you implemented to make sure this doesn't slip thru the cracks? What is new hire arrives on1st day with papwerwork but not signed yet, how do you document that you made them sign before beginning work........

We email paperwork to the new hire and if they don't sign and return it before their first day, they're not hired.  Period.
