Rostering/staff scheduling software?
Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
Has anyone had experience of any of the lower-cost, PC based staff rostering packages that are available, ie Hiho, ScheduleSoft? I'd appreciate any comments! Many thanks, Horace Mitchell (UK/Eur

I am currently attempting to work with schedulesoft. We got the software a few weeks ago. I have never done scheduling before, nor have I been trained on the package itself. It was easy to pick up the basics but I find myself having to double back a lot to try to get things to work. I don't quite understand all of the legs and tours, with schedule start dates, etc. Yet, overall it looks like a good package.

Horace:
Take a look at Time Link's products. Once you have it set up with necessary schedules, it calculates the pay for you based on your company's pay rules.
What are you using for data collection (staff punching or time entry)?

Best of luck
