We are considering Ceridian Source Link - Source 500 Interface to work with our PS V 7.5. Anyone have any comments about the Ceridian product?

I'm also interested in any answers to this.

We currently use ADP for our payroll and are looking at Ceridian as an alternative...

Any comments? Suggestions? Metaphysical Speculations?...

We currently use Ceridian and found it ok. It has many bells, but at a cost. I also have not found it very user friendly when it comes to reports. However, I have only used the Ceridian product.

One of the new trends is payroll companies expanding into HR offerings. However, many are going beyond core competencies, do not offer the functionality of HR focused vendors and in some cases, did not even develop their own product. These are important items to consider and it might be an eye-opener to expand your search to include HR focused vendors.

We absolutely hate Ceridian. It is not user friendly and we are always encountering problems with the reports.

I am currently using Ceridian's PowerPay.com product and find it to be very user friendly. I process payroll on line and it takes no time at all. I find the customer support folks to be very responsive to questions and always return phone calls promptly.

In 1999, we switched from ADP PCPW to Ceridian Source 500. In six months, we switched back to ADP. We found ourselves constantly trying to fix glitches in the Ceridian processing. We did not use all the bells and whistles that we paid for, but we did think we'd grow into it, but when we found so many errors in just the routine processing, we didn't attempt to ask it to calculate paid time off balances, etc.

We are a health care type orgn with about 300 ees. Admittedly, our payroll practices are somewhat complex (lots of special rates and multiple rates, etc.) but our payroll person has been doing payroll for over ten years. When she couldn't resolve the Ceridian problems, we bailed.

we currently are using paychex and upgraded to paychex's premier product. We hate it! This is the bells and wistles and reports are hard to get and the tech support is useless. I am thinking of changing to ADP.

Have used ceridian, than PeopleSoft, Paychex, and now ADP. I find ADP to be the most user friendly and reliable. The customer service has been mostly grade "A". They have done a great job in adapting to their competition.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
