computer's effect on our memory
Discuss how to choose system that will yield the best results, as well as how to maintain it, and how to calculate its return on investment.
I know it's a bit off the HR topic directly, but can someone recommend a good book on technology and its effect on our brains. Seems like things are becoming harder and harder to remember, information

I know it's a bit off the HR topic directly, but can someone recommend a good book on technology and its effect on our brains. Seems like things are becoming harder and harder to remember, information overload. We wear a wireless plug on our waists that keeps us plugged into the company network at all times.
I'm not a member of any other message boards with such an educated audience. Figured maybe a book (since I only read via computer nowadays) would stop the hamster from running around that damn wheel so fast. Can you "catch" A.D.D.?

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
