HRIS is a Human Resource Information System. Organizations use these databases to store, analyze and report on differnt personnel information, such as EEOC, compensation and benefits.
There are several differnt HRIS available these days. Long on to different web sites or google polular HRIS or popular HR systems to see what people are using. There's ADP, PeopleSoft, Lawson etc. If you ask what HRIS the company that you are interviewing for what system they use you can e-mailme and I may be able to get you more info.

Thank you so much for yor response, I am seeking a career in HR and the interview went well up to the part of the HRIS system. I asked if they would train or coach but they semed to be in need of someone with that expertise already. I will ask though which system they are using and will not let this taint my passion for HR. I will learn all the HRIS systems possible. Will keep n touch and again thank you!
