Hello,
I just started a new position in HR. Currently leaves are tracked in an Excel spreadsheet. We get 10-15 LOA's a month.
I need a system to track our various leave of absence programs. The best case scenario would be a system that would integrate with Lawson which is our current Payroll and HRIS. I don't need it for vacation, because it is tracked elsewhere because it goes by our fiscal year which is different than the calendar year.
It could possibly be a multi user system, perhaps password protected that would allow for analysis and reporting of the data housed in the system. Currently personal information is housed in Lawson and LOA dates and notes are entered into a Spreadsheet. The information on the spreadsheet tracks name, EEOC info, type of leave and reason, receipt of Doctors notes, etc.
My dream would be something I could customize to fit our leave polices. We currently have several. It would have to be something that I can export information from Lawson into it. I would love to have something that would notify me when a leave is up, when a doctors note is due, etc. I need to track total amount of time taken for each plan, and some plans run concurrently (E.G. we offer 18 weeks of FMLA, 6-8 weeks of maternity leave and up to 90 days of STD pay). We are self insured so I would love to be able to run reports to send over to payroll with the pay due employees for the current pay periods or weeks to pay the STD and maternity leave portions.
I would also love it if I were able to mail merge letters such as the approval of a leave or the request for a doctors note right from this database.
Do you know of anything out there, any systems or anything that would be helpful to me?
