We are currently looking at the possibility of purchasing Workforce Management Software and I have been tasked with trying to identify potential suppliers. We have a small contact centre and so I would like to try and offer varying degrees of functionality (and cost) to allow the management to make a decision on the budget they are prepared to use. Gartner has listed some suppliers but these are tyhe top end of the market and quite expensive options. Could anyone recommend any suppliers at the lower/middle end of the market that I could consider?
Thanks
Sarah

How many employees are in your organization and where are you located? Also what is your organization looking to accomplish with a workforce management solution? All of these things matter and will help me make an appropriate recomendation. Let me know and i will help any way that i can.

Our contact centre has 40 advisors and we are located in Portsmouth, England.
The problem we have is that the production of the rotas and "What if" scenarios are currently labour intensive and so we are looking for a reasonable solution to help with this.
Thanks

Unfortunetly I am in the states and do not know as much about these systems in England. ADP does a very good job for organizations your size and usually the solutions are pretty cost effective for what they offer. I hope this is helpful.

I browsed a lot and done a lot of demos before finding the right solution for my company. We use staffrostering, a web appliance which offers excellent value for money. You can find it here: http://www.staffrosteringonline.com
Obviously need a little time to setup, but after finding the right one everything happens automatically with minimal manual changes.

You probably want to give Pacific Timesheet Software a try. It is a web based software combines work force management feature together with payroll and timesheet. You can learn more about it here:

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I dont have any information regarding suppliers corresponding to employee management system, but you can try eResource Scheduler for managing your workforce in a professional way. It suppports multiple user login, resource timesheets, resource calenders, etc and facilitate drag & drop scheduling and resource forecasting & financial reports. That will help you a lot in efficient scheduling of your workforce. You can visit their site or search google for eResource Scheduler for details and as far as i remember they provide a 14 day free trial.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
