We are currently implementing a new data mart to store "copies" of several different application databases, one being our Kronos dB. Being a county govt office we have a high demand for cross reporting on these databases. Therefore we are developing a reporting portal, which will access the new data mart, instead of the various production databases, to handle all reporting. Basically pulling reporting out of each application directly, to create one universe odbc compliant data source, utilzing one single source/version of reporting technology.
The issue I am having with Kronos is being able to re-create the "metadata" layer to handle the hyperfinds in reporting (i.e. ?Query Name) which uses Kronos user set up security/roles to determine the row level of data allowed to be returned to that user. I have found the access profile table and can see how they are being used in views but I can't seem to figure out how they are linked to the personid = -411 portion of hyperfinds. I know there must be a middle peice that the application sends that info to the report when it's generated out of the WFC directly. I just need to figure out how to re-create that same level of security.
Has anyone experianced reporting off of the WFC database from another method other than directly from the application itself and been able to re-produce the same hyperfinds/security?

The middle part you are looking for is in the program it's self. I have worked with Kronos for 8 years. We are on 4.3 curently. I don't want to speak for the fourm admins, but a Kronos question to the level of detail is not what this forum covers. The Kronos website does have a users forum which will get your question into a group with more expertise.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
