I'm the HR Manager for a 85 employee company. We're quickly growing and will probably have 130 employees by the end of the year. We currently do not have any type of HR system and are beginning to look around. I've used HR systems before but I they will be too costly for the company at this time. Any suggestions on an HR system for a small company? Thanks!!

The short answer is..."You need one that can painlessly grow with your organization, based on your current and (anticipated) future needs." The real answer would require you to spell everything out so that you fully understand those needs and how to properly meet them. I've been in the HR technology industry as a consultant for 12 years and this is always the most difficult part. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if you need any assistance in finding the right solution.

Paylocity offers a payroll system which comes with a fully featured unified HR module that is very moderately priced. The HR module includes an HR portal, employee self-service, scheduled notifications, FLMA, COBRA, and OSHA tracking, on-line document storage, performance reviews, a benefits module, employment history and much more.
