You may want to make your evaluation use-case based. You're in the perfect position because you're just now evaluating vendors.

Write up 10 typical tasks you plan to perform with your new software. When you're going through the evaluation process, make each vendor show you each of those 10 tasks executed on their software. Once you see your business processes applied to each piece of software, I'm sure your choice will be easy.

I am admittedly a little bias, but I'd have to say you should evaluate the smaller vendors too. Typically the larger vendors will be less responsive to requests.

Taleo has a great web-based system that puts the resumes on other job boards and integrates with the HRIS system.

After using (over the years) and reviewing many different recruitment system, I've found that Trovix gives companies the most bang for their buck. Just to give an example, we are an international company that integrates Trovix with PeopleSoft to bridge the gap between recruitment, onboarding, and current Employee Data Managment.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
