Our organization is in the process of developing a HR Intranet in an effort to better organize the information and data that HR staff use on both a regular and infrequent basis, so that we:
1. Improve department and employee productivity by increasing the availability and accessibility to important and frequently used tools and information.
2. Increase consistency in policy interpretation and information dissemination by having information that is current and accessible.
3. Improve HR service delivery to our customers.
4. Document our key processes, which will enable us to better train our new employees and provide others with the tools to answer basic service questions for our customers (possibly through a knowledge base).
Ultimately, we would like a lot of the information we are organizing (FMLA, HRIS data entry & retrieval instructions, policies & procedures, classification information, etc.) to be available to our general workforce and (where appropriate) to the public.
As we begin development, we would like to find out what other organizations have done in this area. Any information you can share, such as the web site address (if public), screen shots, employee contact information would be appreciated.

Hi,
Have a look at EmpXtrack. It has an Employee Postal with HRIS. So you can put all your Policy Documents on Employee portal.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
