Jason, I'm sure that there are way better time and attendance products from companies which don't resort to spamming unwanted advertising.

This is a great technology though, it also has known disadvantages. As employees can soon find out of ways on how to bypass this security measures. And unless you are willing to spend on topnotch systems, which should probably cost more than developing the whole project, then this would not be an option. It was proven that even a simple photocopy of a treated fingerprint, can sometimes work for this. Just have an expert in imaging develop it for you.
