We are a small company with 39 employees, and we are looking for a simple, straight forward LMS. All we want it to do is schedule and track training and run reports. We do not need to be able to write training material; we do not need extra fancy analytics tools (basic analytics would be okay), and we do not need a library of online training. Simply, we want to be able to see at a glance, who has taken what and when, and who needs to take a particular course. Any suggestions?

for any mid/small size firms, i usually recommend the time/cost-consuming solution of open source Moodle (http://moodle.org/), which includes these essential features you request and is really easy to manage in hands. although you're not guranteed to get any commerical supports, Moodle's popular user discussions are definitely useful on most isuses.
