I have a dilema with a customer. They are new to the SAP world and will be staffing an upcoming project. The challenge is they traditionally staff with consultants with right-to-hire options BUT they don't want to see resumes unless candidates have been in their previous positions for at least 3 years - it's my experience in the SAP arena that most people with SAP will have short term assignments on their resume...how do I explain to my customer how the SAP world works so they will consider qualified SAP candidates that don't meet their job history expectations? Is there anything/anywhere I can do some due diligence to provide my customer with value to get them to understand? Thanks for any assistance!

I think what you need to enlighten your client on is the world of ERP implementations in general. Some can be very short while others take years. They need to understand that in light of their own upcoming implementation. As a former PeopleSoft implementation consultant, I had engagements that were as short as 6 weeks and as long as 2 years. It just depends. Once they understand that concept they should be able to see the work history in the proper light.
