Hi all,

We're a midsize software business in the Phoenix area. I was tasked with finding a time and attendance solution to replace the existing badge swipe system we have. I've found a local company (Scottsdale) that does business with nationally recognized companies. They seem ok, but I wanted to know if anybody has had experience with them and what their experience was.

they are http://www.nettimesolutions.com

I will look into alternatives as well, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not familiar with that product although I think I looked at it once. Having been through the process a couple of times Ill toss out a few thoughts. Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I had:
1. Check out the thoroughness of the training provided and do a better job of checking the quality of support after the sale.
2. Had the opportunity to perform routine functions on a dummy system to see how easy or tedious they are.
3. Looked more closely at not just the type of reports needed but how user friendly the system is or isnt.
4. Let as many people who will be using it test drive the product and listen to their input. A clerk pointed out several things that the controller and I missed.

Last time I think I focused to much on the compatibility with our payroll system (very important) and implementation. The reps did a good job of selling the versatility of the system but what I found was that in order to achieve that that flexibility the product was somewhat complex and unwieldy to use.
Good luck

As the other poster mentions I would ask a lot of questions. The say their software utilizes Microsoft 2000 as a database, I would ask is this SQL 2000 or the old Access 200 or NT 2000, if it is not SQL Server I would pass. I would ask about the AT&T hosting center in Mesa, AZ, who is running the software? Are they just renting rack space, how is the software backed up, how often has it gone down in the last two years, etc. Does the software meet all of your requirements?

I have had good experience with a product called E-Z time sheet.(I am not the vendor)
