ON 10-17 I posted a request for information using the wrong abreviation. The MIS and CS students we hire have available computer based training leading to MicroSoft Certification--MSCE-not the MCSE in the
earlier statement. So the question is--if equal candidates present themselves for hire, equal in all ways except one has the MicroSoft Certification--What is the value of that Certification? I would think the certified candidate would certainly be more hireable, and would think that he/she would likely rate a higher initial offer. HOW MUCH? My purpose in asking is to try to further develop a motivational argument that might spurr these students to use their time more wisely...certification training instead of computer games...that sort of thing. |
