I received some great help from PennState. They sent me a great competency map to various levels of management.

I have also had success with re-packaging Achieve Global material to fit the requirements of various levels of management.

Check out the cool animated video on youtube -
"Training new managers"

Find it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xz33uqjkIo

The plot:

* scenario 1: new managers are not being challenged enough at work and change jobs often (due to lack of suitable training)

* scenario 2: quickly promoted managers may lack emotional competencies that would enable them to be effectively part of a team and create organizational change

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
