Role profiling is actually something I am very familiar with as we use a complete assessment-based system to identify the job's key accountabilities and produce a job benchmark that can be easily compared to the talent. I too, see a major difference in role profiling and a simple job description and think it provides a major advantage whether selecting talent, re-organizing talent or developing talent.
