I am a graduate student and working on a paper about Toyota's Employee Ethics Training Program. I need to find out some basic information about their training program. How often are employees required to take ethics training? How is the training delivered? When was it developed? What company developed it? Do they have a mechanism for assessing ethical performance of the leadership? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've attempted to do that several times but have not been successful. I get the run around and end up leaving messages for various people at their headquarters.

I go through that every time I try to set up network meetings for my supervisor, sometimes the public relations department is helpful.

Maybe you need to take a "back door" approach. Do you have an alumni association? Maybe there is an alumnus who works for Toyota that can help you. Are you a student member of any professional associations? Maybe you can track down someone from a member list.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
