In my book, the vendor gets a point for publishing case studies. It indicates to me that they are trying to win my business. But at the end of the day, vendor case studies are a marketing device. Whether they are vague or concrete (and Ive seen them in varying degrees of detail), they present a highly sanitized view of the project. Thats unless, of course, you come across a case study written by an independent writer.
