Free HR training will probably be worth just about the same as what you pay for it.

There isn't one. To become a qualified HR professional, one must take at least two or three years' worth of full time post-secondary courses in HR management. There are no institutions out there, on the web or otherwise, who would be willing to provide this level of intense training for free.

Based on this and other posts of yours, you seem to be under the impression that all it takes to become a qualified HR professional is to ask a few questions on ionternet chat forums and take a few free internet courses. This is demeaning and insulting to HR professionals worldwide.

HRbth is certainly correct, if not a little conservative, about the education required to be a competent HR professional in todayâs work environment. If youâre looking for a way to pick up some HR basic information on line Iâd suggest you start with DOL.gov and read wage-hour laws. Then you could switch over to EEOC.gov and read up on Title 7 which effects just about everything we do. Be sure to check out data on FMLA, COBRA, ADA, AADA, PLA, OSHA and ERISA. HR sites like Workplace, SHRM and Alexander Hamilton Institute can give you a sense of the scope and issues we face.

These will help you gain an insight into HR practices, which will help if youâre in a position that interfaces with HR or oversees specific HR-related functions. Given todayâs job market with hundreds of degreed/experienced HR professionals applying for every job, anything less wonât get you very far.

Note: these comments relate to the US market, if youâre elsewhere things may be different.

Good Luck

If you were a highly-qualified HR professional wouldn't be demeaning the profession and insulting the rest of us the way you have been.

First you belittle and insult the HR profession - several times! - and when I very naturally take offence, you insult me personally?

Most people wanting assistance from senior-level HR professionals would have apologized for the insults, but not you! No, you just right on insulting and belittling away!

You need to learn some manners.
