Can anyone recommend a class, book, website, where I can learn about benefits, employment law, and other HR related items in relation to operation in Canada. I have all the labor/government websites for Canada, but I'm looking for an almost compare and contrast between US and Canada operations.

I don't think there's a compare and contrast type of book available. Try asking the HRPA (Canada's version of SHRM) about resources - www.hrpa.ca. And of course you could always talk to ME - I've written/spoken quite a bit on this topic. You can email me at cpackham@giveandgo.com if you're interested. I may even be able to dig up some stuff I've written in the past.
